Jenna Fischer has become best recognized as Pam Beesly, the character she played in The Office. In the course of playing this role, Jenna received two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy as well as an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her family was based in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne was in the church stage. Her love for performance and theater was instilled when she was a teenager.
She is a trained actress who was back in theater following The Office. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the production Reasons to Be Happy, written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. The play was followed by her participation in the world premiere of Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show on The Old Globe Theatre.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast that airs on Earwolf in October 2019. The show has been hugely successful, reaching its Top Ten worldwide every week as well as receiving over 200 million downloads during the first two years. Office Ladies, which was launched in October 2019 and was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Month award for the month of January in 2021.
She's written two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide that outlines her path to Hollywood as an actor in the field, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who Were There, which is a story of the greatest friendships they enjoyed as well as their experience watching The Office.
